The Housewife

In this proof-of-concept for a feature, a disillusioned housewife regains her power after she and her son are placed in mortal danger. A dark thriller about a mother who must rely on her own skills and ingenuity to survive when she and her son are kidnapped, this is a film that challenges traditional gender roles in the family, explores female empowerment, and most of all, re-examines mothers as everyday heroes. We are proud to feature a diverse female cast and females in key creative roles. Our film also marks award-winning director Jeremiah Kipp’s (SLAPFACE, BLACK WAKE) first foray into the thriller genre after a long and successful career directing horror features. The script is written by Sundance Screenwriters Lab finalist and New York Times bestselling author Kelly A. Turner, who also stars in the film.
